What was the highlight of Hotel Royal
It worths the price, would recommend for tourists whose most of the time are outside and just need good place to sleep.
Very good location, 10-minute walk from Velocity/Novena Square malls & Novena MRT. Bus stop just right outside hotel door. Our family room clean & is spacious compared to other budget hotel at the same price. Edequate facilities provided, air con works so well that we dont have to turn it on when sleeping. Though no water bottle at each room, there is water dispenser at each floor for self-filling (for free), thumps up for a sustainable initiative Staff are friendly & flexible to adapt to our late check-out.
The hotel is old both outside and inside, though we knew that info in advance yet a bit surprised when check in the room. Towel is also in old color, lights in room are not so bright. Only until the last day that we got look-like-new towels.

Just stay for sleeping only, get yourself outside as much as you can.
Location and cost.
They had renovations and by Sunday 31st I could hear the drilling sound as early as 9.00 am. When I called the operator she claimed that its normal, then clarified with the other guy who came back to me without apology instead fighting me back for there is no way renovation conducted on Sunday. He then clarified with the housekeeping and called me back just to said “dont have what?!” ????‍️ my gosh, the attitude cant be accepted at all even for budget hotel.
